Week 6 Application: Course Project, Assessment Photo Album

According to the Course Project Overview, your completed Assessment Photo Album will include an overview of the following for the unit:
  • Learning Goals matched to assessment methods (Week 1 Application)
  • Diagnostic assessments (or pre-assessments)—at least one that provides information about a student’s family/community (Week 2 Application)
  • Description of formative assessments (ongoing classroom assessments)—at least one that involves student self-assessment (Week 2 Discussion and Application)
  • Outline of Performance Assessment (Week 3 Application)
  • Rubric for Performance Assessment (Week 4 Application)
  • Paper-and-pencil assessments (Week 5 Application)

Throughout this course you have been designing assessments for an interdisciplinary unit. At the same time, you have been planning how to present your balanced assessment plan to your students using a Web 2.0 presentation tool to create an “Assessment Photo Album” presentation. In addition, you and your group used an online collaboration tool to co-create a rubric that identifies the essential traits or characteristics of a high-quality Assessment Photo Album and describes varying degrees of performance on each trait or characteristic.

This week you will send your Assessment Photo Album to your group members for feedback. Once you have received their feedback, you will revise your project based on colleagues’ input and submit your final Assessment Photo Album to your Instructor for evaluation. Complete the following steps:
  • Send your Assessment Photo Album presentation (as a link or attached document) to your group members. Your group members will evaluate your project using the rubric you co-created and provide feedback.
  • Revise your Assessment Photo Album based on feedback from your colleagues.
  • Reflect on your experience in creating this product, including your integration of technology (presentation and collaboration tools), the co-creation of a rubric, and the peer review process.

Submit the following;
  • Your finalized Assessment Photo Album presentation (as a link or attached document)
  • A written reflection on your experience creating this product based on the prompt above (Assignment length: approximately 3 pages)
